Heavenly Day

What a beautiful day it has been...

By Stephanie St Claire from BLISSBOMBED.com
Every once and a while I see something that makes me stop in my tracks, as goosebumps rise on my body, and then I just want to dance with joy, as I gasp and then shout really loudly, "YES!!!"

LOVE DOES WIN!!  Always.  Yep.

This morning I read a manifesto by Stephanie St. Claire.  I don't know Stephanie, but I love what she seems to be doing in this world, and clearly she is my soul sister, right?  What's not to love about someone who has an affection for pjs & martinis?

I love her manifesto, reading it was like reading what is written in my own soul.  It rocked my socks! Maybe it'll rock yours too!

By the way, just curious...what's your manifesto?

Precious moments

Every week I get to spend a few precious hours with my yogi sisters.  We technically meet to discuss a yoga-related book, but we really get together over foodie-grade AAA food, to giggle, and fill our souls up with deep unconditional understanding and love.

I crave these moments and am so grateful for them because I know how rare it can be to have soul sisters so accessible. Today we met over delicious tea, vegan oatmeal cookies and the laughter we shared lightened my heart is such a big way.

In what may seem like a completely unrelated segue but really does make sense since I have sung this with my yogi sisters at least a dozen times...I offer you Purnam!!

Purnamadah Purnamidam
This is the Whole, this is the Whole;
From the Whole, the Whole arises;
Taking away the Whole from the Whole;  The Whole Remains
(i got my translation from my Samarya Center teacher training...but there are lots of versions out their to choose from!)

Dance! Dance! Dance!

It's a snowy icy mess here in Seattle today and I've no place to go, so I guess it's time to DANCE!!

I hope wherever you are in this beautiful wild world you can take a moment to giggle and play today!  Play is such an important part of our lives and as I walked through the snow these last few days I've seen my fellow Seattle-ites being mischievous (snow ball fights), creative( building igloos, and one gent put about 15 mini snowmen on a car--complete with baby carrot noses!) and just plain having fun (riding down our hills with glee on sleds).

We are meant to bring joy into each others lives, and living should be as much fun as you can make it.

What can you do to bring greater joy into today?
